First email from the amazing Anta!!!

Hi Scott.

My day has been really great. Started of cleaning, as usually on Saturdays (since I don’t work, I can afford to deep clean the house), then at 1 pm I met 2 of my friends at church and we went to hospitals to visit and pray for people. I love doing that, it’s always very encouraging for me. Interestingly enough, but I go there to encourage and I get to be the one more encouraged, I have no idea how but God works like that with me. Almost always I get to meet at least 1 believer (among non-believers) there, in the midst of pain, and yet so strong in his/her walk with Christ, that it simply and deeply moves me. Anyway, after that I had to go to church (4pm) to prepare some food for our meeting tonight. We had a reunion with young people (from various churches and denominations) in my town, we do this once a month to strengthen our walk with Christ, to know each other, to worship and to light up the passion for Christ in our hearts. Today we talked about “Rediscovering worship”. Very uplifting. Returned home at about 9 pm, and since then I am here meditating on the word of God for tomorrow.

At church I will speak about being an “Athlete for Christ” (2 Timothy 2:3-13 and 1 Corinthians 9:24-27). Just a short encouraging message that I want to share with my “family”. I was encouraged with the same scripture 2 weeks ago 🙂

Now, after I told you waaaaaaaaaay too much about my day, I’ll get to reply to your questions as well. I like your approach.

How many siblings do you have and how are your relationships with them?

You MUST be kidding. We are 6 too, 3 girls and 3 boys, I am the eldest in my family.. youngest is a boy, 7 yrs old. I adore my siblings, I am very proud of them and I have a close relationship with them all (one of my bros, 21 – he’s really phlegmatic and I think the Lord put him near me to teach me what patience and serving means hahah – I love him and am proud of him, we just tease each other alot).

If you could have any animal as a pet, what would it be and why?

A monkey, I think they are extremely funny and smart.

What was your first job?

Secretary at a rubber and rubber-metal parts company.

If you could spend one week anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Grand Canyon – a sunrise there would be breathtaking!!

What is the last song you listened to?

I am listening now to “Love can move mountains” – Celine Dion

my turn

1. What’s the last book you’ve read and what was the nicest thing you’ve learned from it?

Didn’t finish it yet, but am reading Linda Dillow’s  “Creative counterpart”. It’s more like a practical guide for how to be a godly + wise woman and a helper for your (future) husband.

2. Do you use to pray for your future wife? If yes, when did you start doing so, what age?

I pray for my husband since… I think I was 17 or 18. Can’t remember for sure. I’ve been told it’s crucial, so I didn’t question it, I just did it.

3. What version of the Bible you use? (KJ, NKJ, NLT, NIV, Amplified, the Message or?)

Obivously I have Romanian version, but when I read english I like KJ and NKJ version.

4. What kind of music do you like? Do you listen to secular music too?

When it comes to music, my tastes differ from day to day, from mood to mood. Sometimes I like slow songs, simple and “pure”. Other times I even listen to more “rock” versions of songs( Skillet – Comatose – ), or contemporary Christian songs (NeedToBreathe – Lay ‘em down – that are quite noisy. I listen to non-Christian songs also, if they have a positive message and they inspire/relax me. Some other times I listen to Romantic songs such as Like Red on a Rose – Alan Jackson or Et si tu n’existais pas – Joe Dassin. I like salsa, latin music as well. I often lock myself in my room with my sisters or just alone and dance like crazy. I can’t dance like a pro, but I can dance (I have 2 feet to move and 2 hands that I can shake) and I thank God for that. Can’t put my finger on it (style), I am a mix of many things, but I like to think I like good music. 🙂 Even some hip-hop from time to time  Lacrae – Fanatic (only Christian, the non-Christian one is wayyyyy beyond my likes – I mean the lyrics). Oh, I absolutely love Celtic Women! That’s simply adorable 🙂 I added a Romanian Christian song – Vitamina C – Pe cine am eu, Doamne (whom do I have, Lord). Very simple song, not good sound quality, but I like it. I know the guy who plays it and he’s a humble servant of Christ. He’s been to our church a few times. Track 1 is a song by Rita Springer – It’s gonna be worth it. (very old album I have which I’ve been listening to this since childhood).

5. Your profile says you don’t drink alcohol. At all?

I drink at church (communion) and rarely take a sip at occasions (weddings/visits/holidays). I don’t like to keep alcohol in the house, though.

PS. Song changed in winamp – the song I am listening to now is “There comes a time” – Celine Dion
